The CEO of Google, Sundar Pichai (Indian) Joins Alphabet Board of Directors


As per the latest news the Google's CEO Sundar Pichai (Indian) has been appointed to the board of directors of Alphabet, the search giant’s parent company has said.


The formation of Alphabet was announced that Google's CEO Mr. Sundar Pichai is joining the Alphabet board of directors, effective last week. Pichai has been at Google since 2004 and CEO since 2015.


Basically the Alphabet board includes:

Larry Page
Eric E. Schmidt
Roger W. Ferguson, Jr.
L. John Doerr
Diane B. Greene
Ann Mather
John L. Hennessy
Alan R. Mulally
K. Ram Shriram
Paul S. Otellini
Shirley M. Tilghman

When, Pichai was appointed CEO, Google’s stock has increased in value from roughly $650 to $995. Google remains the most important business unit in the Alphabet portfolio and delivers the vast majority of its revenue.

Larry Page, CEO of California-based US multinational conglomerate Alphabet, said in a statement on Monday that "I really enjoy working with him (Sundar Pichai) and I am excited that he is joining the Alphabet board”
